Do you have questions about WordPress Stripe Donation Plugin?

After activating the plugin, you will see “WP Stripe Donation” in WordPress Admin Dashboard.

Firstly, Go to “Key Settings” and add your stripe keys which you will get from your stripe account (See Documentation).

Secondly, Create a page and name it as you wish like “Donation”

Finally, Put the shortcode [wp_stripe_donation] in that page and Update it.

You will see your donation form on that page.

This could happen for various reasons.

First check your SSL. For live transactions you must have to enable https. This is a security recommendation from Stripe.

If your SSL (https) is OK. then check your API keys are provided to API settings page.

This could happen for various reasons.


In most common scenario this happens due to stripe secret key mismatch. Please recheck  your secret key and if you find any aesthetic number in your keys then this is not right.


Another reason could be Idempotent key issue. Idempotent key is a security check recommended from Stripe to prevent the same transaction twice.
We make new Idempotent key in each request. So if the same key passes twice Stripe blocks the operation. If you have a cache plugin enabled it keeps the same Idempotent number, So it blocks your transaction.

Go to “General Settings” and you will see an option “Currency” there.

Select your Currency from the drop down and save it.
